TDATS!!!! TDATS!!!! TDATS!!!!

TDATS= 'the day after thanksgiving shopping.' Just a little something my mom, my sister, and i came up with b/c we got sick of saying and typing (email) t-h-e d-a-y a-f-t-e-r t-h-a-n-k-s-g-i-v-i-n-g s-h-o-p-p-i-n-g. So YES- I am one of those. For years now I get up VERY early-drive to Knoxville (lose an hour so I have to get up earlier!) and get beat up! LOL It really is alot of fun and not near as crazy as it used to be NOR is it anything like you see on TV. Where I shop anyway! Traffic is about the only thing I have to fight that day. Anyway- Hope you are having a GREAT day after Thanksgiving whether you are laying on the couch eating leftovers or out getting great deals!

Feature Friday!

Okay - Snapfish... (www.snapfish.com) I used to use this ALL the time and then switched over to kodakgallery.com for some reason... And now I do Wal-Mart a lot just because my photos upload faster to their site! HA- but every Christmas I'll shop around for those cutetsie (that's a word!) lil gifts for people who would just ABSOLUTELY LOVE something with Will's face all over it! HAHAHA Snapfish is having something now - Deal of the Day! I just now realized that today is Tuesday & this wont post until Friday while I'm out getting trampled in the shopping centers- SO sorry if you missed this deal- but for example-buy one photo book get one free! very cool! You also cannot beat 9 cents a print! So now- I just have to figure out which smiling photo of Will to plaster ALL over a mug or mouse pad or ornament for my mom!! LOL
Share any gift sites you use PLEASE!!!! Ideas always welcome here!

Just wanted to share...

I had my ink pads set out for a project I'm working on (ill share soon!) But Will loves to make his finger prints on paper and I notice he was doing it and then he got my double scrubber and laid it out beside the inks. THEN he went and got baby wipes off the shelf and wiped his fingers off... I now have a mini pile of baby wipes starting that have one wipe of an inked finger EACH! ;-) Also - he is taking a block (no stamp) and inking it up- stamping it and cleaning it- ON THE RIGHT SIDE of teh scrubber! hahaha Im so thankful for my awesome life! To God be the glory! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

I made this card last year but never sent it. ;( I think I'm going to use it now in my Thanksgiving layout somehow... It would be a great embellishment! PLUS I still have plenty of paper to coordinate! I hope you all have a BIG family day tomorrow, and eat TOO MUCH!
Autumn Terracotta CS, Barn Red CS, Twitterpated paper pack B&T, cranberry waxy flax, and stamps!

Go Amie Go

My sister recently ran in the Haunted Half Marathon here in town. I had a few pics so I stuck those in there but I knew she had some better ones so I just left two out... I have to confess that these aren't my favorite colors or paper- BUT when I kept looking at the photos those colors just kept coming out to me- I think it turned out pretty cool! It's topiary, goldrush, a piece of B&T from Splendor paper pack and a piece of B&T from You Rock paper pack... I have used this stamp set more than I thought. It was a Stamp of the Month a while back. I have used it for MANY 'everyday' cards. Like the ones where you just want to say 'hi.' I always pick out the silhouette girl whose persoanlity matches the person Im sending it to. FUN AND yes I realized the 'pale' girl should be in the back - ooops! She's not running backwards! hahahaha Maybe my sister wont notice! :-)
LOVING posterboard alphabet stamp!!!! All you need is pretty paper! I stamped stars all around edges of white CS. Love how it turned out!

Place Cards

Okay so unless you have a HUGE family, are Martha Stewart, or just want to do them for fun- you are probably like me and don't really have a need for place cards... BUT they are FUN to make! We always go to moms on Thanksgiving day but we also cook a meal here at home too for dinner. So me & my lil family have Thanksgiving meal to ourselves.....

GIVE THANKS!

these are some cards I made to send out to everyone who we trick or treated with!! Of course Will is only 2 so we primarily only go to Grandparents & aunts and uncles... So I snap a few photos of him trick or treating at their place and mail them out a "THANK YOU!" Scott & I had as much fun trick or treating as Will did! LOL
Stay tuned tomorrow for some cute place cards I did last year - gonna use 'em again this year I think! ;-)

Where have we been?

Why camping of course!!! If you know me you know we are campers! Second love: beach- Camping on the Beach = incredible! We go every year to camp on the beach. Although Cumberland Island in St Mary's GA has been our haven for MANY years - we decided to try out a new place! This is Hunting Island in SC. GORGEOUS! Of course my water monkey LOVED the 'oooshun.' Life is GOOD.
Before
After... no joke! My husband is nuts!
EARLY morning stroll to look for sand dollars! I found like 18 perfect ones! Notice Will still in his PJ's.. lol This was one of my favorite parts of the day- other than naps of course! ;-) We even made it up to see the sunrise!

Good Bye Fall?

Yep - I think so..... Not necessarily the season - but the celebration I suppose. Christmas is EVERYWHERE already.. Its hard to not get in the Christmas spirit early when everyone else is! So I have taken all of pumpkins down (which i have never done before Thanksgiving) but I was starting to feel 'behind' after everyone telling me they already had their trees up! yikes! Now I don't have my tree up but I do have my villages up. They are alot of trouble to get out and set up so I thought I'd go ahead & get those out now so we could enjoy them longer. Will loves them- Ill post a picture later! He's mesmerized this year by Christmas! SOOOOOOOOOOOO anyway... Bye Bye FALL!

SCRAPBOOK SUPERSTARS!!!!!!!

Scrapbooking club nights are awesome!! Last night we busted out some "OLIVIA" paper pages and boogied down to some Pat Benetar! Thanks Carol! I have 'running with the shadows of the night!" still in my HEAD! ;-) LOL Below are a few pages from the talented club "Superstars!" (don't you automatically think of the Saturday night live skit- Will Ferrell and the other chick!) LOVE it! SUPER-STARS! Anyway......................... This is Terri's page! I wasn't allowed to take a pic of the other one until she is finished! ;-) The sanding looks great! I think everyone really enjoyed this technique! This is Lindsay's layout! She put a foundry flourish on too! Those are so very pretty.. Love the detail!
Sherrie's page! All the ladies put their own spin to the details and they always look so great!
Debbie had her photos with her and I love the black & white!!! She matted two with barn red. I think it was just enough to bring out the barn red in the other papers too! CUTE CUTE!
Carol's page turned out great! She used the texture tool around the edges and made the technique a lil darker and it REALLY gave it some extra texture and color! Very cool! Sanding makes everything look softer!
Emily we missed you! ...and Tonya packed up her pages before I could snap them , but they looked awesome too!!! What a great night! THANKS girls!

December's Mistletoe CLUB layout!

Sometimes the club girls don't like the suggested layout so we do another! NO PROBLEM! I love CRANBERRY & COCOA together! (colors that is! LOL) This is the stamp set that COMES with your kit! So pretty!
This mistletoe is cut right out of the gorgeous paper it comes on! Added some shimmer brads!

Dimensional Elements Ornaments!

These things are sooo stinkin' cute and PERFECT for those cute lil gifts or to add a lil 'extra' to a gift.. They come in white chipboard.. Sponge 'em up, cover with paper, add a picture... SO MANY cute things you can do with these!!!!! So inexpensive! At only $4.95- you can whip up a set of 5 (front and backs) in NO time!@ Sponged with cranberry ink and added some bitty sparkles & ribbon! So easy!
Add paper to the 'back' part of the ornament and cover the front! Micro-tip scissors and finishing files complete the details on the front!
Take the backs off the shimmer brads - add a 3d foam square and stick 'em on!

Christmas BOX

I made this to cover one of our 'my creation' boxes. I plan on keeping my Christmas cards for this year inside! :-) LOVE this stamp set- 'Adornable!' Loving' our new colored sparkles! I've gone a little nuts with bitty sparkles as you will see later in more posts! hahahah
This new "Old World' alphabet is GORGEOUS!

Hope you had a Happy Halloween!

I dont know who had more fun trick or treating - Will or Scott & I! Will was HILARIOUS! He would run up to the doors, knock and say 'helwo', and wait for candy.. Then he'd say ' byebye' and start back toward the car! LOL Sometimes his 'byebyes' were mixed with a "Tank You!" He was Charlie Brown this year.. he got tired of carry around his football when he realized the candy bucket was what he really needed!
Nana with her boys! Carter & Bryson are ALL about Star Wars right now!
