Those HOOLIGANS!!!!

I am SOOO ready for Fall and all the cool stuff that comes with it!! Halloween, Thanksgiving, (day after thanksgiving shopping!), camping, apple cider, candles burning with the windows up!! i just cant wait! Making these cards from our new "Hooligans" paper just really excited me even more! Check out my monsters! Below is paper from Hooligans and fuzzy lil Hooligans we have in our new catalog! the lil monster is stamped and then liquid glass added to make him extra slimy! I added two of our bitty opaques for his eyes!!! The pennant is cut out of the design on one of the printed patterned papers in the packet!
It always amazes me how versatile you can make these papers look.. Same paper packet and LOTS of different results. Below I have used a piece of Autumn Terracotta Card stock and embossed some stamping to the top and bottom and added some monsters!
I am sooo ready for Fall adn Halloween!

We got our Scrapbook Luau ON this past Saturday!

This is right before the show started! My booth was still looking pretty neat - throughout the day it wore down! LOL I had so much fun doing this. If you came out this year - you know what I'm talking about. If you didn't get to then you need to start planning NOW to make it for next year. As a 'cropper' this year the girls paid $40 which got them a space to crop for 11 hours, breakfast (chickfila, pastries, fruit, and MORE), lunch (strouds & fixins'), dinner (olive garden salad & breadsticks, pizza, and cookies) and snacks throughout the day which included: TWO chocolate fountains- white and milk choc. - bananas, nutter butters, oreos, pretzles, angels food cake, and MORE for dipping - look out melting pot! and coffee & drinks ALL DAY! I am sure I left out something! it was PLENTY! Here is my lil corner I set up shop for the day in! BUSY BUSY! I taught a class on the coaster book and it was a success! Thanks to Shawn, Shannon, Melinda, Kelly, Kim, Dylcia, and Elizabeth for signing up!! It was GREAT getting to know you ladies! The photo I took - on my phone- b/c I forgot to take my camera up to class- well I obviously didn't press 'save.' Stinkers!
Heres some artwork I brought- the big blank black space in upper right corner bothered me all day! LOL I had a flyer printed out to go there and LEFT it at home!- so I thought.. I found it later on in one of my boxes - just about closing time! LOL

Scrappers are arriving!! LOVE these ladies! They are AWESOME. Thank you Shawn, Shannon, Melinda, and Kelly. It was great to look up and see your smiling faces- So happy you guys got so much done and had fun!
They sat at a table#5!
These are the cute lil thank you thingys I made for Katy Zamer & Ami Wilson, co-coordinators, for the Luau. Thank you again ladies for asking me to be a part of it!
I love this photo- the sun was just starting to shine in through the windows and it gave it a shadow! So easy to create: 4 x 8 piece of card stock (this is autumn terracotta)- scored at 4 (in half)-, cut a piece of patterned paper 3x2.5, and another piece of patterned paper at 1.5x2. I used our new fall paper "Olivia" here! It has Barn Red, Cocoa, Autumn Terracotta, & Pear. To make the leaf take your favorite leaf stamp. Ink it up in Honey, (don't stamp yet!) using 'rock n roll' technique with Autumn Terracotta roll the edges of the stamp around on the ink pad to give it a darker 'edge.' Take a sponge dauber or piece of foam sponge and ink it up with some cranberry red and dab it on your stamp. THEN STAMP! Cut out glue down with some 3D foam and add any other embellishment you want- I added "enjoy" with some ribbon!
I had a lil 4 - 1 inch stamp set in each - I simply secured with a glue dot BUT you could get really creative and tie with a ribbon front tie closure... :-)

Retro to go!

Check out this CUTE card made by Margi Gilbertson, Director with Close to My Heart. The tie-dye effect was done by sponging with the NEW Cotton Candy, Pear, Sky and Smooth ink colors onto the card. Then she splattered pure bleach with a toothbrush onto the card to get the bleaching. Her bleaching technique is something I've used many times BUT never in papercrafting!! Maybe on shirts at 4-H camp or I remember doing this on my freshly painted wall in school. below is my rendition of her card!!! I used a small paint brush to splatter instead of a toothbrush.. - MAKE SURE YOU ARE CAREFUL! After all it IS bleach! :-)
I used paper from the new Fall packet Olivia for my lil scrapbook girls pants and apron- same paper just front and back- sunset and pear colors!

Bleach Technique

I've seen this technique many times before- but most recently Tina Sutton used it on our current August stamp of the month! It looked so good on this flower that I just had to try it myself! This is a piece of colonial white card stock and Ive rubber brayered it up with the NEW sunset ink! I stamped the flower image in Barn Red ink. I stamped over the same image with versa mark and embossed with clear powder. Take a small paint brush and brush straight bleach onto the paper on the inside parts of the flower. It dries white as you can see!
The colors here are part of the new summer pallet but are also perfect for fall- especially paired with the barn red and cocoa!
The paper here is from Olivia - a new paper packet coming soon in teh Fall/Winter idea book! Colors are sunset, smoothie, and pear! Check back tomorrow for another 'bleach' technique!

As long as im living my baby you'll be...

Don't you just love this quote! I am so excited CTMH has a stamp with this phrase! It is perfect for baby pages in a scrapbook or for baby shower cards! I cant wait to stamp this on a birthday card for Will for his 18th birthday in front of his girlfriend or something! LOL So don't call the CTMH police b/c this isn't CTMH paper, BUT it a template pattern our of Wishes! :-)
The pics below are just something I wanted to add- b/c I wanted to share my excitement! Whenever i get a box from the man in brown I cannot wait to open it!! This is a 28 pound box filled with NEW product! yahoo! I have LOVED playing with all of it and cant wait to share it with you!

She will LOVE putting photos or herself in here!! Fun Fun!! It EVEN comes with the STAMP set!! I love it when it comes with the stamps!! I think I'll make the sunset one next - LOVING the new colors!!! Sunset in pear are in the summer palette but "Fall" right up when you pair them with barn red and garden green! It comes with all this!!! You just stamp on the die cuts (comes with stamps and mini inks!!) tie 'em up with ribbon (included) and stick the velcro fasten (also included) on it and WAL-ah!

County Fair

okay so the county fair is a love/hate relationship with me. it is always worth the trouble but man is it hot, crowded, and REDNECK- we fit right in! This year we went on Tuesday night - stayed an hour and I realized i had left the oven on with a homemade potpie in it! yikes! ...so we speed demon home and everything is alright! WHEW! County fair take 2- Wednesday night after church....... Went much better- even though it rained some it was way more crowded for some reason but Will had a blast! Checking out the LIGHTS!
Look at MY COOL bracelet! Its magic- it lets me on all the rides!
His favorite ride was this kiddie coaster- the dragon wagon! I thought he was too little for it but the hubs thought he'd do fine. So with a little encouragement from the ride operator (you know with all the training they have!LOL) i let him go and he rode it & rode it & rode it!!!! It was super fast for him and he LOVED it! We got fair food and hit the bricks home around 10pm.... whew!
These lil planes were more mommas speed!
